Publ. & Syn.Jurtz., Bot. Mater. Gerb. Bot. Inst. Komarova Akad. Nauk SSSR 19: 248 (1959). - Oxytropis strobilacea var. adamsiana Trautv., Trudy Imp. S.-Peterburgsk. Bot. Sada 5: 40 (1877). Described from the lower Olenyok and Lena rivers in Yakutia (Siberia). Several syntypes cited. Polozhij (1994) indicated Tit-Ary in the Lena River Delta as the type locality.
NotesElven and Murray: The two proposed arctic races of Oxytropis adamsiana are parapatric: subsp. adamsiana from Taimyr to Kharaulakh, subsp. janensis from Kharaulakh eastwards.
