Astragalus tolmaczevii Jurtz.
Publ. & Syn.Jurtz., Fl. Arct. URSS 9, 2: 48, 178 (1986). Holotype (LE): Siberia: "Peninsula Taimyr, ad fl. Taimyra inferior, insula Botling", 26. July 1948, leg. B.A. Tikhomirov and M.I. Vellikainen.
NotesMurray and Elven: Yurtsev (1986) mapped Astragalus tolmaczevii as disjunct in northern Asia. We have inspected material from northern Yakutia and Wrangel Island. We propose to circumscribe this species more narrowly than Yurtsev did as we retain A. richardsonii as a relevant species in an arctic context.
Chromosomes(1) 16 (2x). - Siberia (N), Far East (N). - Yurtsev and Zhukova (1968); Zhukova (1983). Several counts, partly for A. richardsonii.
(2) 32 (4x). - Siberia (N), Far East (N). - At least four reports. Numerous counts, mainly for A. richardsonii.
GeographyAsian (N): SIB RFE.
