Publ. & Syn.	L., Sp. Pl.: 1019 (1753). Lectotype (LINN): Sweden: "Lapland". Herb. Linn. 1158.57, upper female specimen (Jonsell and Jarvis 1994: 151).
Chromosomes	38 (2x). - Europe (N). - At least four reports. Not included: According to Fedorov (1969) there are old reports of 2n = 76 (4x) in this species (Wilkinson 1944, 1954).
Geography	European (N) - Asian (W): NOR RUS SIB.
