NotesSkvortsov (PAF proposal) reported one very isolated locality for Salix arbuscula on Kolguev in northeastern European Russia. He confirmed the voucher and stated this to be the only site for this species in the Arctic. However, Bolshakov (1992) mapped the species from arctic localities along the lowermost Ob River in northwestern Siberia. The species is common in the Scandinavian mountains but does not reach the Arctic there.
