NotesSkvortsov (1976) and Jalas and Suominen (1976) mapped Salix acutifolia from one locality at the Indiga in the Malozemelskaya Tundra, well north of our arctic boundary.
       Salix acutifolia might alternatively be considered a subspecies of S. daphnoides Vill., Prosp. Hist. Pl. Dauphiné: 51 (1779).
