NotesYurtsev: Besides quite typical specimens of Salix niphoclada from the easternmost Chukchi Peninsula with 2n = 38, identified by A. Skvortsov, there are many deviating collections from more eastern parts of Chukotka in need of revision. For a population from the easternmost Chukchi Peninsula (the Amguema River) there is a count of 2n = 76 referred above.
