Publ. & Syn.Sipliv., Novosti Sist. Vyssh. Rast. 8: 151 (1971). Holotype (LE): Siberia: "Transbaicalia, sylva pinetosa prope urb. Czita", 15. May 1908, leg. P.S. Michno.
NotesZhmylev: Saxifraga caulescens is a boreal-alpine Siberian species, probably formed as a result of hybridization of S. bronchialis and S. spinulosa.
Elven: This is another assumed hybrid species that only can be accepted provisionally. It is also assumed to be due to hybridization between the two aggregates. Its assignment to just this aggregate is therefore debatable.
