Chrysosplenium rimosum Kom.
Publ. & Syn.Chrysosplenium rimosum subsp. dezhnevii Jurtz., Bot. Zhurn. 57: 772 (1972). Holotype (LE): Russian Far East: East Chukotka, vicinity Cape Dezhnev, coast Bering Strait, 05. Aug. 1970, leg. Yu. Kozhevnikov, A. Nechaev, and B. Yurtsev 70-163.
NotesPetrovsky and Elven: Subspecies dezhnevii is known from one locality in East Chukotka and only from the type specimen and an isotype (the chromosome count voucher). This is the single known occurrence in the Arctic of this temperate Pacific species. The only difference from the more southern plants seems to be its extremely small size. Such an inconsequential difference at one locality does not deserve taxonomic recognition and thus we reduce it to synonymy.
