Micranthes nelsoniana subsp. aestivalis (Fisch. & C.A. Mey.) Elven & D.F. Murray | |
Publ. & Syn. | Saxifraga punctata subsp. punctata auct. |
Notes | Zhmylev: Subspecies aestivalis is a mainly southern arctic to montane Siberian race characterized by slightly pubescent inflorescence with more spreading branches, and leaves with not more than 15 threecornered teeth. However, near its northern border it is hard to distinguish this subspecies from subsp. nelsoniana because of its stocky appearance. Moreover, transition forms are often found in regions of joint occurrence. |
