NotesClemants and Mosyakin (2003) recognized two races of Chenopodium rubrum in North America: the widespread var. rubrum mapped north to Churchill on Hudson Bay, and the non-arctic, western North American var. humile (Hook.) S. Watson (see Casual taxa).
