NotesFour races of Honckenya peploides are accepted. Two are non-arctic - subsp. peploides on the northwestern European coasts and subsp. robusta (Fernald) Hultén on the northeastern North American coasts - and two reach the Arctic.
Chromosomes(1) 48. - Europe (N, W). - At least five reports, all belong to subsp. peploides.
(2) 68 64-70 (4x?). - Europe (N, W), Canada (E). - Several reports, the European ones belong to subsp. peploides, the North American ones to subsp. robusta.
