NotesSagina x normaniana occurs independent of its parents and reaches the Arctic at least in Norway. The hybrid grows vegetatively, more effectively than the parents by long, trailing and rooting shoots, and to some degree reproduces by seeds. See Karlsson and Nilsson (2001).
