NotesSubspecies vulgare is probably an archeophyte (rather than native) in northern Norway and northern European Russia and a more recently introduced adventive elsewhere. Sekretareva (1999) considered it adventive everywhere in the Russian Arctic. The often applied name "holosteoides" refers to a non-arctic taxon (subspecies, see Jonsell et al. (2001).
