Stellaria longipes subspecies taxon subvestita
Publ. & Syn.Stellaria subvestita Greene, Ottawa Naturalist 15: 42 (1901). Described from Alberta (Canada).
NotesStellaria subvestita is a mainly boreal taxon reported generally to reach the same Canadian arctic areas as S. stricta. Petrovsky considered it as perhaps related to S. peduncularis and stated that an analogous form is known from West Chukotka. Elven finds it different from S. peduncularis and doubts Asian occurrence. The single chromosome number report under this name is Löve and Löve (1982a) from Manitoba and should be viewed critically.
Chromosomes52 (4x).
