Stellaria palustris Ehrh. ex Hoffm.
Publ. & Syn.Stellaria glauca With., Arr. Brit. Pl., ed. 3, 2: 420 (1796). Described from the British Isles.
NotesThe reported Russian and Siberian range of Stellaria palustris appears too large, perhaps due to inclusion of S. fennica (see comment below). Vlasova (1993) accepted no occurrences in the Arctic in Siberia and neither did she recognize S. fennica.
Chromosomesca. 100-ca. 182 (8-14x). - Europe, Russia. - Several reports, one of 2n = ca. 100 from northeastern Russia by Sokolovskaya (1970) possibly referable to S. fennica.
Not included: A report of 2n = 28 (2x) from Germany (Lippert and Heubl 1989) must belong to something else.
