NotesTzvelev: The differences between subsp. amphibia and subsp. laevimarginata are small and their status as taxa should be reconsidered.
       Elven: We follow the characters and discussion of Stanford (1925) and Hultén (1944) and provisionally accept two subspecies but the variation should be studied further.
Chromosomes(1) ca. 44-50. - Siberia (N), Far East (N). - Numerous reports.
