Papaver multiradiatum V.V. Petrovsky | |
Publ. & Syn. | V.V. Petrovsky, Bot. Zhurn. 68: 234 (1983). Holotype (LE!): Russian Far East: Wrangel Island, "ad sinum Somnitelnaja", 23. July 1965, leg. V.V. Petrovsky. |
Notes | Papaver multiradiatum is only provisionally accepted. Petrovsky commented that the only character the Wrangel Island endemic P. multiradiatum has in common with Asian P. lapponicum is the chromosome number. Otherwise its very short capsule with many stigmatic disc rays resembles P. gorodkovii but P. multiradiatum differs from that species in very bright leaf pubescence and uniformly yellow flowers (predominantly white in P. gorodkovii). |
