NotesThere is much morphological variation in Ranunculus repens, some of it associated with ecology and probably with geography, but not yet resolved. The race entered provisionally below is little studied:

(3) 32 (4x, x = 8). - Europe, Russia, Siberia, Far East, Canada. - Numerous reports, see also Jalas and Suominen (1989).
(4) 48 (6x, x = 8). - Russia (N). - Lavrenko and Serditov (1984).
