Ranunculus glabriusculus Rupr. | |
Publ. & Syn. | Rupr., Fl. Samojed. Cisural.: 19 (1845). Described from "Terra parva samojedorum [Malozemelskaya Tundra], Sinus Indegae" (European Russia). - Ranunculus acris subsp. glabriusculus (Rupr.) Á. Löve & D. Löve, Bot. Not. 128: 512 (1976). |
Notes | Tolmachev (1971b) accepted Ranunculus borealis auct. (= R. subborealis) and R. glabriusculus as two species. Jalas and Suominen (1989) and Nurmi (2001) synonymized these two names. We have problems in following Tolmachev's (1971b) arguments in support of R. glabriusculus. The single chromosome count assigned to R. glabriusculus (2n = 40, 5x with base 8?, from Putorana; Krogulevich 1976a) differs from all other counts assigned to R. acris s. lat. and has been omitted. It probably belongs to a taxon of the R. auricomus group. |
