Publ. & Syn.Ranunculus samojedorum Rupr., Fl. Samojed. Cisural.: 18 (1845). Described from northeastern European Russia. - Ranunculus hyperboreus var. samojedorum (Rupr.) Perfil., Mater. Fl. Nov. Zemlja Kolguev: 62 (1928). - Ranunculus hyperboreus subsp. samojedorum (Rupr.) Hultén, Acta Univ. Lund., n. s., sect. 2, 40, 1: 758 (1944).
NotesRanunculus hyperboreus has until recently been treated collectively in most areas. Critical examination is therefore needed of the material from some non-Russian regions, especially Greenland. Nilsson (2001a) accepted subsp. arnellii from the nearby island of Jan Mayen and from a few sites in non-arctic parts of northern Scandinavia. Internal note: Check Greenland material of Ranunculus hyperboreus in HbO.
