NotesMurray and Elven: Taxon interior occurs in interior Alaska, the Yukon Territory, and the northwestern mainland Northwest Territories, bordering on A. sibirica s. str. in the west and on A. villosissima (s. str. and "alaskana", see below) in the south but mapped by Hultén and Fries (1986: map 829) not to overlap with any of these.
