NotesA few morphological differences have been suggested between the northwestern European Aconitum septentrionale and the Russian-Siberian A. excelsum. The matter is not resolved. As the plant does not reach the Arctic in northern Norway, it only reaches the Arctic within the range of A. excelsum.
