Caltha L.
Publ. & Syn.Thacla Spach, Hist. Nat. Vég. 7: 295 (1838).
NotesDeyl and Soják (1970) accepted the genus Thacla. In a phylogenetic study, Schuettpelz and Hoot (2004) found its type species - Caltha natans (= Thacla natans) - to nest together with the northern and southern hemisphere main branches of Caltha. In view of the appreciable variation in Caltha, especially in the southern hemisphere, we do not recognize Thacla.
