Publ. & Syn.?Schizachne komarovii Roshev., Fl. URSS 2: 544 (1934). Described from near Ganal village in Kamtchatka (the Russian Far East). Type in LE.
NotesSchizachne purpurascens is reported from several places in or near the Arctic in the surroundings of the Hudson and Ungava bays (Scoggan 1978b; Porsild and Cody 1980). It approaches the Arctic in the Brooks Range in northern Alaska (found 2002, ALA, O). The Kamtchatkan S. komarovii probably belongs within S. purpurascens.
