NotesConsaul et al. (2008a) described this diploid species, Puccinellia banksiensis, from three localities on the southern Banks Island in northwestern Canada and one at Prudhoe Bay in northern Alaska. They stated it to be most closely related to the tetraploid P. hauptiana.
