Notes | Poa palustris does not reach the Arctic in mainland Norway but has been found as a casual adventive in Svalbard. |

All recent reports, with one exception, are of tetraploids (2n = 28). The hexaploid (and triploid) reports are from the period 1929-1954 and probably not vouchered. It it therefore possible that this species is predominantly or entirely tetraploid and sexual. |
