NotesFestuca fredrikseniae is a northwestern Atlantic species, with certainty known from northeastern North America south of the arctic parts, Greenland, and from a few localities in Svalbard (O, TROM).
Chromosomes28 (4x). - Canada (E), Greenland. - At least five reports.
Not included: A report of 2n = 42 from Labrador (Gervais et al. 1997b). The report needs confirmation (by voucher) as belonging to this taxon.
