NotesElven and Solstad: We found Festuca edlundiae in the Arctic in northern Alaska in 2002 (ALA) and on Wrangel Island in 2005 (O). Occurrence in northeastern Siberia (Yana-Kolyma) remains to be confirmed. In Europe, the species is restricted to Svalbard.
Chromosomes28 (4x). - Europe (N), Far East (N), Canada. - Several reports, mainly for F. hyperborea.
