NotesElven: Peterson and Soreng in Soreng et al. (2003) reported the following specimen (LE TRIN-1606.06a) to be the holotype but this specimen seems to have been collected in 1829, five years after the publication of the name Agrostis exarata.
       Murray: A very isolated, native occurrence of A. exarata is known at Sadlerochit Springs in the northeastern Brooks Range, Alaska (ALA), found 1978.
