Deschampsia obensis Roshev. | |
Publ. & Syn. | ?Aira cespitosa var. submutica Trautv., Trudy Imp. S.-Peterburgsk. Bot. Sada 5: 141 (1877). Described from the Olenyok River in northern Yakutia (Siberia). - ?Deschampsia submutica (Trautv.) Nikif., Fl. Sibir. 2: 90 (1990). |
Notes | Tzvelev: I consider Deschampsia obensis a distinct species, common in some areas, but closely related to both D. sukatschewii and D. beringensis. Elven: It differs from both of these in very diffuse tussocks and from D. sukatschewii in its larger spikelets. Nikiforova (1990a) considered D. obensis and D. submutica two species. Deschampsia submutica is distinguished from D. obensis by much more numerous and smaller (3-4 mm vs. 4.5-6 mm) spikelets. |
