NotesAll or nearly all reports of Hordeum jubatum from the Arctic may be based on anthropochores. Other races have been described.

(2) 28 (4x). - Siberia (N), Far East (N), Alaska, Canada, U.S.A. - Numerous reports.
(3) 42 (6x). - Bowden (1962, 1965b).
Löve and Löve (1975a) and Bothmer et al. (2007) accepted only tetraploids. No morphological differences have been suggested between plants at the two well-documented ploidy levels (2x, 4x).
