Chromosomes78-83. - Europe, Siberia (N), Far East (N), Alaska, Canada, Greenland. - Numerous reports.
Some reports from the Pacific regions may belong to C. ramenskii which obviously has been much confused with C. subspathacea there.
Not included: A report of 2n = 40 and 42 from Iceland (Löve and Löve 1956b, also omitted by Löve and Löve 1975a).
