NotesCarex holostoma does not reach the Arctic in Norway or European Russia.
Chromosomes54-60. - Europe (N), Siberia (N), Far East (N), Canada, Greenland. - Numerous reports.
Not included: Reports of 2n = 54 and 60 from Iceland (Löve and Löve 1956b; Löve 1970a). The species is not accepted from Iceland (Kristinsson 2008).
