NotesMurray and Elven: Hultén (1968a) mapped Carex spectabilis from St. Matthew Island. We doubt occurrence there and no specimens annotated as such by Hultén (in S or ALA) have been seen from this island. Hultén (1942) reported it from (non-arctic) St. Paul Island (voucher in S) and from Nome (voucher in US) but Hultén (1968a) omitted the latter record.
