Publ. & Syn.Á. Löve & D. Löve, Univ. Colorado Stud., Ser. Biol. 17: 18 (1965). - Streptopus amplexifolius var. americanus Schult. in Roem. & Schult., Syst. Veg. 7, 1: 311 (1829). Type: U.S.A.: New York, near Fairfield, leg. Hadley.
NotesThe name Streptopus lanceolatus replaces the well-known S. roseus due to the typification of Uvularia lanceolata (Reveal 1993). The eastern and diploid subsp./var. lanceolatus reaches the Arctic in eastern Canada. The western hexaploid S. curvipes Vail has been treated as a variety or subspecies in several combinations. It does not reach the Arctic and neither do two other eastern North American varieties (Utech 2002).
