Potamogeton alpinus subsp. tenuifolius (Raf.) Hultén
Publ. & Syn.Hultén, Fl. Aleut. Isl.: 65 (1937). - Potamogeton tenuifolius Raf., Med. Repos., ser. 3, 2: 409 (1811). Holotype (P): Canada: Quebec, Lake Mistassin, leg. Michaux.
NotesTzvelev (PAF proposal) reported subsp. alpinus to reach the Arctic in several Siberian regions (Yamal-Gydan to Kharaulakh) and subsp. tenuifolius in Taimyr alone. Kashina (1988) accepted only subsp. tenuifolius from Siberia and not as arctic in Anabar-Olenyok or Kharaulakh. We follow the taxonomy of Kashina and the geography of Tzvelev. We assume that the material behind Tzvelev's reports may be deposited in LE and that it has not been utilized for Flora Sibiri.
