NotesSubspecies annotinum penetrates the Arctic but not very far.
       Solstad: Nearly all Icelandic plants belong to subsp. alpestre but there are a few vouchered plants from northern Iceland (AMNH) of subsp. annotinum, one of these from the Borderline Arctic ca. 8 km south of the (arbitrary drawn) arctic boundary.
